Physics tutor in Dubai, online and 1-on-1

Physics is the subject Dubai parents ask for a tutor in most often after maths, and usually for the same child: one who understands the lesson and loses the test. The reason is rarely physics. It is the diagram that was not drawn, the principle chosen by matching symbols instead of thinking, or the algebra inside the numerical, and a classroom of thirty cannot see which. A physics tutor in Dubai costs AED 120 to 250 an hour at home; online, 1-on-1 on a shared whiteboard with a tutor who holds a master's in physics and reads every line, the same class is about AED 37 to 48, with the recording of every class.

Our physics tutors teach one board per student: CBSE Class 9 to 12 from NCERT with the board's numericals and the marking scheme, Cambridge and Edexcel IGCSE and A-level to the mark scheme and the required practicals, IB Physics SL and HL including the internal assessment, and AP Physics 1, 2 and C with released free-response questions scored to the College Board rubric. The first class is a diagnosis from a marked test, with every lost mark sorted into wrong principle, no diagram, maths, or units; the course then runs a week ahead of the school where it can.

Tell us the school and the class in the first message. A child moving between systems, from a CBSE school to a British or IB one or back, has gaps in order rather than in ability, because the boards teach the same physics in different years; we map what has been covered against what the new school expects.

how a class runs

🧲 Sixty minutes, on a shared whiteboard

  • Five minutes: last week's homework, with the lost marks sorted into four kinds
  • Ten minutes: the new principle as a sentence the student can say, then as a formula
  • Thirty minutes: problems drawn before they are calculated, the tutor watching every line
  • Ten minutes: a past-paper or board-style question under time
  • After class: the recording, notes, the marked work and the error log to the parent

Knowledge base

Dubai families ask

1How much does a physics tutor cost in Dubai?
A home physics tutor in Dubai typically charges AED 120 to 250 an hour, and a tuition centre AED 70 to 150 for a group class. Our online 1-on-1 physics classes are about AED 37 to 48 an hour with a tutor who holds a master's in physics, the recording of every class and marked homework included, billed monthly with no package.
2Which boards do your physics tutors teach?
CBSE Class 9 to 12, Cambridge and Edexcel IGCSE and A-level (and AQA and OCR for schools that sit UK boards), IB MYP sciences and Diploma Physics SL and HL, and AP Physics 1, 2 and C. One board per student, in the school's order, with a tutor who teaches that board every week and knows its mark scheme.
3My child understands physics in class and fails the tests. What is going wrong?
Almost always one of four things, and the first class finds out which: the principle is chosen by matching symbols instead of by thinking; no diagram is drawn, so the setup is wrong; the algebra inside the numerical is not automatic; or units and signs are lost. Each has a specific fix that takes two to three weeks. It is rarely physics itself, and it is never talent.
4Can you teach the Class 11 CBSE physics jump?
Yes, and it is the commonest request from CBSE families in Dubai. Class 11 brings vectors, calculus-based motion and the whole of mechanics in one year, and a student who scored above 90 in Class 10 can fail the first unit test. We handle it in the first term: the maths taught alongside, the mechanics principles as sentences, and numericals with the working shown as the board marks it.
5What time are classes for families in Dubai?
The UAE is 1.5 hours behind India all year, so 4 to 7 pm in Dubai is 5:30 to 8:30 pm in Chandigarh: ordinary working hours for our tutors, with weekend mornings (Friday and Saturday in the UAE) as Indian late mornings. No midnight shifts, no tired tutor.
6How much does it cost?
About AED 37 to 48 an hour (US$10 to $13), for a live 1-on-1 class with a master's-qualified tutor, the recording of every class, notes and marked homework included, billed monthly with no package and no contract. Dubai tuition centres publish AED 60 to 150 an hour for CBSE subjects and home tutors AED 100 to 250; the full comparison is on the pricing page.
7Is the first class free?
Yes. A 30-minute 1-on-1 lesson on the whiteboard in maths or science, at your after-school time, in English, Hindi or Punjabi. Parents sit in. After it we send a short plan and the exact rate, and you decide. No card, no obligation.
8Do you follow the school's book or NCERT?
Both, in this order: the NCERT chapter the school is on, in the school's sequence, with the school's own worksheets and the CBSE sample-paper pattern from Class 9. Where the school runs ahead of NCERT (many Dubai schools do in maths), we follow the school.
