CBSE Class 10 online tuition in Dubai, 1-on-1
Class 10 in a Dubai CBSE school runs from April to the board exam the following February, with pre-boards in December and January. From 2026 CBSE holds the Class 10 board exam twice a year, the main sitting in February and a second sitting in May for students who want to improve a result, and the maths paper comes in two versions, Standard and Basic, chosen when the school files the list of candidates. The marking scheme is public, and it is the marking scheme, not the textbook, that decides the marks.
Our Class 10 classes finish the syllabus by December, a chapter ahead of the school, then turn the whole of January into sample papers marked to the CBSE scheme with the step marks shown, one tutor with one child on a shared whiteboard. The maths tutor holds a master's in mathematics; science is taught by a physics-chemistry tutor and a biology tutor, the way the board paper is divided. Every class is recorded and the parent gets the recording, the notes and the marked paper.

Where the 80 marks come from in maths: algebra (polynomials, linear pairs, quadratics, APs) 20, geometry 15, trigonometry 12, mensuration 10, statistics and probability 11, number systems 6, coordinate geometry 6. In science the physics chapters (light, eye, electricity, magnetism) carry 25, chemistry 25, biology 30, in the 2026-27 blueprint. We plan the revision by marks, not by chapter count.

Dubai families ask
1Standard or Basic maths: which should my child take?
Standard if the child will take maths in Class 11 (science or commerce with maths), because Basic does not qualify for Class 11 maths without a compartment exam. Basic if maths ends at Class 10 and the child is scoring under 50 per cent in the first term. The school files the choice with the candidate list around October; decide by September, and we will tell you honestly which one after six weeks of classes.
2How do you use the CBSE sample papers and marking scheme?
From January every class is a timed section of a sample paper or a previous year's board paper, marked to the CBSE marking scheme with the step marks written on the script, so the child learns where marks are lost: the missing unit, the unstated formula, the unlabelled diagram. Before that, each chapter ends with the board's question types so the format is familiar by December.
3What about the second board sitting in May?
It is for improving a result, and most children should plan for the February sitting only. If a subject goes badly in February, the May sitting is a genuine second chance in that subject, and we run a six-week revision block for it.
4What time are classes for families in Dubai?
The UAE is 1.5 hours behind India all year, so 4 to 7 pm in Dubai is 5:30 to 8:30 pm in Chandigarh: ordinary working hours for our tutors, with weekend mornings (Friday and Saturday in the UAE) as Indian late mornings. No midnight shifts, no tired tutor.
5How much does it cost?
About AED 37 to 48 an hour (US$10 to $13), for a live 1-on-1 class with a master's-qualified tutor, the recording of every class, notes and marked homework included, billed monthly with no package and no contract. 6Is the first class free?
Yes. A 30-minute 1-on-1 lesson on the whiteboard in maths or science, at your after-school time, in English, Hindi or Punjabi. Parents sit in. After it we send a short plan and the exact rate, and you decide. No card, no obligation.
7Do you follow the school's book or NCERT?
Both, in this order: the NCERT chapter the school is on, in the school's sequence, with the school's own worksheets and the CBSE sample-paper pattern from Class 9. Where the school runs ahead of NCERT (many Dubai schools do in maths), we follow the school.
