CBSE Class 11 online tuition in Dubai, 1-on-1

Class 11 is where a student who scored above 90 in the Class 10 board can fail a unit test in the first term. The syllabus is larger, the questions are no longer taken from the examples, and maths, physics and chemistry all become mathematical at once: trigonometric functions and limits in maths, vectors and calculus-based motion in physics, the mole concept and equilibrium in chemistry. Schools in Dubai move quickly because the Class 12 board, and for many students the entrance exams, sit at the end of it.

Our Class 11 classes are 1-on-1 with a tutor who holds a master's degree in that subject, on a shared whiteboard, following the NCERT chapter the school is on. Each class: the concept, worked NCERT examples, the exercise questions done by the student with the tutor watching each line, then notes, an assignment and the recording. Numericals in physics and chemistry are practised to the CBSE marking scheme, one step per line, with units.

Biology follows the same pattern with a biology tutor: diversity in the living world, structural organisation, cell structure and function, plant physiology, human physiology. Commerce-stream maths (Applied Mathematics) is taught on request.

🧭 What changes in Class 11

  • Questions come from the idea, not from the solved examples
  • Physics needs vectors and the start of calculus in the first term
  • Chemistry numericals: the mole concept decides the year
  • School tests are set at Class 12 board standard from the first unit test

Knowledge base

Dubai families ask

1Why did my child's marks fall so far in Class 11?
Because Class 11 tests understanding where Class 10 tested practice. The board exam in Class 10 rewards a student who has done every NCERT question; Class 11 papers ask the idea in a form the student has not seen. Marks falling from the 90s to the 60s in the first term is common and recoverable, by doing fewer questions properly rather than more questions quickly.
2Do you teach all of PCM or PCB?
Yes, with a separate tutor for each subject, each holding a master's degree in it: maths, physics, chemistry and biology. Most families start with the one or two subjects the first unit test showed up, usually physics or maths.
3Is one class a week enough in Class 11?
For one subject, one to two hours a week alongside school is enough for most students if it starts in the first term. A student who starts after the half-yearly exam usually needs two hours a week per subject to catch up the first-term chapters while keeping up with the current ones.
4What time are classes for families in Dubai?
The UAE is 1.5 hours behind India all year, so 4 to 7 pm in Dubai is 5:30 to 8:30 pm in Chandigarh: ordinary working hours for our tutors, with weekend mornings (Friday and Saturday in the UAE) as Indian late mornings. No midnight shifts, no tired tutor.
5How much does it cost?
About AED 37 to 48 an hour (US$10 to $13), for a live 1-on-1 class with a master's-qualified tutor, the recording of every class, notes and marked homework included, billed monthly with no package and no contract. Dubai tuition centres publish AED 60 to 150 an hour for CBSE subjects and home tutors AED 100 to 250; the full comparison is on the pricing page.
6Is the first class free?
Yes. A 30-minute 1-on-1 lesson on the whiteboard in maths or science, at your after-school time, in English, Hindi or Punjabi. Parents sit in. After it we send a short plan and the exact rate, and you decide. No card, no obligation.
7Do you follow the school's book or NCERT?
Both, in this order: the NCERT chapter the school is on, in the school's sequence, with the school's own worksheets and the CBSE sample-paper pattern from Class 9. Where the school runs ahead of NCERT (many Dubai schools do in maths), we follow the school.
