CBSE Class 8 online tuition in Dubai, 1-on-1
Class 8 is the last year before the Class 9 and 10 syllabus that the board exam is set on, and the chapters a child leaves weak in Class 8 (linear equations, exponents, algebraic identities, factorisation, mensuration) are exactly the ones Class 9 assumes. Dubai CBSE schools also start the Class 9 book early in the third term, so the year is shorter than it looks.
Our Class 8 classes stay a term ahead of the school: one tutor with one child on a shared whiteboard, the new chapter before the school reaches it, then the school's worksheets when it does, then notes, an assignment and the recording for the parent. Maths with a tutor who holds a master's in mathematics; science split between physics-chemistry and biology tutors where the school does the same. NCERT is replacing the Class 8 books in 2025-26 and 2026-27 and the chapter names and order differ between the old rationalised book and the new one; Dubai schools are switching at different speeds. We teach from the book your child's school uses, and the topics above are the ones that matter in both.

1Which Class 8 chapters matter most for Class 9 and 10?
In maths: linear equations, algebraic expressions and identities, factorisation, exponents and mensuration; Class 9 polynomials, linear equations in two variables and surface areas assume all five. In science: force and pressure, friction, sound, light and chemical effects of current are the base of Class 9 motion, force, gravitation and sound, and of Class 10 electricity and light.
2Can you start in the middle of the year?
Yes, and most Class 8 families do, after the first periodic test. We take the school's timetable, find the chapters already taught that the child is unsure of, and run those alongside the current chapter until the gap is closed, usually within six weeks.
3What time are classes for families in Dubai?
The UAE is 1.5 hours behind India all year, so 4 to 7 pm in Dubai is 5:30 to 8:30 pm in Chandigarh: ordinary working hours for our tutors, with weekend mornings (Friday and Saturday in the UAE) as Indian late mornings. No midnight shifts, no tired tutor.
4How much does it cost?
About AED 37 to 48 an hour (US$10 to $13), for a live 1-on-1 class with a master's-qualified tutor, the recording of every class, notes and marked homework included, billed monthly with no package and no contract. 5Is the first class free?
Yes. A 30-minute 1-on-1 lesson on the whiteboard in maths or science, at your after-school time, in English, Hindi or Punjabi. Parents sit in. After it we send a short plan and the exact rate, and you decide. No card, no obligation.
6Do you follow the school's book or NCERT?
Both, in this order: the NCERT chapter the school is on, in the school's sequence, with the school's own worksheets and the CBSE sample-paper pattern from Class 9. Where the school runs ahead of NCERT (many Dubai schools do in maths), we follow the school.
