Class 12 in an Indian school abroad is two years in one: the CBSE board in February and March, sat abroad with the same papers as India, and for most of the science stream JEE or NEET a few months later, with the school finishing the syllabus by December and spending the last term on pre-boards and revision. The maths is calculus (continuity and differentiability, applications of derivatives, integrals, differential equations), vectors and 3D geometry, probability; physics is electrostatics and current electricity, magnetism and induction, optics, modern physics and semiconductors; chemistry is solutions, electrochemistry, kinetics, the d and f block and coordination compounds, and the whole of the organic chemistry from haloalkanes to biomolecules; biology is reproduction, genetics and evolution, human health, biotechnology and ecology.
Our Class 12 classes are taught by subject specialists, each with a master's in the subject, a chapter ahead of the school in the school's order, with the derivations and the numericals on the whiteboard and the NCERT examples and exercises done in full, because the board paper is set from them. From January every class is a timed board paper or a previous year's, marked to the CBSE marking scheme with the step marks shown, and the entrance exam is planned alongside for the children who are sitting it. In your time zone, with longer weekend sessions in the board months.

Where the marks sit: in maths, calculus (chapters 5 to 9) is about 35 of the 80, vectors and 3D geometry 14, relations, functions and inverse trigonometry 8, matrices and determinants 10, probability 8, LPP 5. In physics, electrostatics and current electricity 16, magnetism and induction 17, optics 18, modern physics 12, semiconductors 7. In chemistry, physical 23, inorganic 19, organic 28. In biology, reproduction 16, genetics and evolution 20, health and biotechnology 26, ecology 8. We plan the revision by marks, not by chapter count.
