SAT tutoring in the United States commonly costs $80 to $300 an hour, and most of that hour is the same three things anywhere in the world: find out which question types the student loses, teach those, and practise under time. A tutor in India does those three things at a fraction of the price, provided she knows the digital SAT as it is now: adaptive, on a screen, with a calculator built in.
Our SAT classes are 1-on-1 on a shared whiteboard. The first class is a diagnostic; from it we set a target and an 8 or 12 week plan. Math is taught by a tutor with a master's in mathematics, Reading and Writing by an English tutor. Students in the USA usually take the class at 7 am before school or on weekend mornings; students in India preparing for US, Canadian or Singapore admissions take it in the Indian evening.

Because the test adapts by module, accuracy in the first module of each section matters more than speed: it decides whether the higher score range is reachable at all. That is the first habit we build.

1Can an SAT tutor in India prepare a student in the USA?
Yes. The digital SAT is the same test everywhere and is taken on the same app. What matters is that the tutor teaches the current format: two sections, four adaptive modules, the built-in Desmos calculator, short Reading and Writing passages. Our SAT tutors teach US students every week at 7 am before school and on weekend mornings US time.
2Do you offer SAT coaching for students in India?
Yes, for students in Class 10 to 12 applying to universities in the USA, Canada, Singapore and elsewhere that accept the SAT. Classes are in the Indian evening, the plan is the same 8 or 12 weeks, and we time it to the test date you have booked.
3How many hours of SAT tutoring does a student need?
For most students, 20 to 30 hours over 8 to 12 weeks, plus one full timed practice test a week from the fourth week. A student already above 1300 who wants 1450 or more needs fewer hours and harder questions; a student below 1000 needs the algebra rebuilt first, which takes longer.
4How much can a score improve?
It depends on the starting point and the hours, and nobody honest promises a number. What we can say is how we work: the diagnostic names the question types losing the most points, the plan spends the hours there, and the timed tests show the score after each fortnight so you can see whether it is moving.
5What time are classes for US families?
The most popular slot is 7 to 8:30 am US Eastern before school, which is early evening in India. US after-school (4 to 8 pm Eastern) is the early hours in India, and our tutors teach those hours in shifts, so evening slots exist on every weekday. Saturday and Sunday mornings US time are Indian evenings. Central, Mountain and Pacific families get the same three windows, shifted.
6How much does it cost?
US$10 to $13 an hour for a live 1-on-1 class with a master's-qualified tutor, the same one every week, with the recording of every class, notes and marked homework included. Billed monthly, no package, no contract. The full table, in US and Canadian dollars, is on the pricing page.
7Is the first class free?
Yes. A 30-minute 1-on-1 lesson on the whiteboard on your child's current topic, at a time in your time zone. Parents sit in. After it we send a short plan and the exact rate, and you decide. No card, no obligation.
