Online ADHD and Dyslexia-Friendly Tutoring tutor, 1-on-1

Online tutoring for ADHD and dyslexia: one tutor, one child, short focused blocks, camera on, the same tutor every week, and a one-page recap after every class. Science with Shobha teaches ADHD and Dyslexia-Friendly Tutoring live, one tutor with one child, on a shared whiteboard. Lessons follow Your child's own curriculum, taught the way the child learns, so the order of topics, the vocabulary and the question styles match what your child sees at school.

Every class ends with notes, an assignment and a recording. Before tests we switch to mock papers, marked and reviewed together. Classes run in your time zone, in English, Hindi or Punjabi.

what we cover

📋 ADHD and Dyslexia-Friendly Tutoring — topics we teach

  • 25-minute focus blocks with a 2-minute reset, inside a 55-minute class
  • One instruction at a time, said and written on the board
  • Reading support: decodable text, larger type, line by line, no reading aloud unless the child chooses
  • Maths with fewer steps on screen at once and worked examples the child copies
  • Recap sheet after every class: what we did, the three things to remember, the homework
  • Homework in 10-minute pieces, not one long task
  • Parent in the room or on the recording, always
  • The same tutor every week, who knows what worked last time

The list follows a typical year; we start wherever your child is and skip what is already solid.

Knowledge base

Parents ask about ADHD and Dyslexia-Friendly Tutoring

1Do you diagnose or treat ADHD or dyslexia?
No. We are tutors, not clinicians. We teach the school subjects to a child who already has a diagnosis, or whose parents or school suspect one, in a format that works for that child: short blocks, one instruction at a time, the same tutor every week. For assessment, speak to the school or a paediatrician or educational psychologist.
2What is different about the class for a child with ADHD?
The class is 55 minutes but built as two 25-minute blocks with a reset between them, the tutor gives one instruction at a time and writes it on the board as well as saying it, the camera is on so the tutor sees attention drift before the child does, and the homework comes in 10-minute pieces. The same tutor every week matters more than anything else.
3What is different for a child with dyslexia?
Reading is never demanded aloud unless the child chooses, text is enlarged and worked line by line, maths is taught with fewer steps visible at once and with the tutor's worked example the child copies before trying alone, and spelling is practised in short daily lists rather than tests. Where the school allows extra time or a reader in exams, we practise exactly that way.
4Is online tutoring good for a child with ADHD?
For most children from about age 8, yes, and often better than in person: the screen is a single focus, the tutor is one person, and the recording lets the child re-watch without asking. It is not good for a child who will not sit at a screen for 25 minutes; for that child we suggest starting with 25-minute classes and building up.
5Do you follow my child's school syllabus for ADHD and Dyslexia-Friendly Tutoring?
Yes. ADHD and Dyslexia-Friendly Tutoring classes are mapped to Your child's own curriculum, taught the way the child learns. Send us the textbook or exam board name and we plan around the same sequence, so what your child learns with us is exactly what is tested at school.
6How many ADHD and Dyslexia-Friendly Tutoring classes a week do you recommend?
Most families start with two 1-on-1 classes a week for a term, then adjust. Before an exam we add mock-paper sessions. There is no long-term contract and you can pause any time.
7What does a ADHD and Dyslexia-Friendly Tutoring class look like?
One tutor, one child, on a shared whiteboard: a five-minute recap, the new concept explained with diagrams, guided practice where the tutor watches every step, then a summary with notes, an assignment and the recording.
8Which exams do you prepare ADHD and Dyslexia-Friendly Tutoring students for?
The child's own school assessments and exams, with the access arrangements the school allows (extra time, reader, laptop) practised in class. Mock papers are marked and reviewed live in class.
9Is the first class free?
Yes — a 30-minute demo in English, Hindi or Punjabi, no card and no obligation. Parents are welcome to sit in.
